Information regarding possible make up games for the weekend we canceled have been sent to coaches
The following e-mail was sent to all parents.
I hope all of you stayed warm and dry last week. We are hoping for a better start to the season this week. We have a few things to share.
If your child played in the fall, we need you to fill out the following form on concussions (see link below) and give it to one of the board members at your next game. Board members will be in yellow jackets. This is new rule and is required by the AYSO National and the State of Michigan.
If your child was just registered for the spring only, you have already signed one of these forms.
With no games last week, we are trying to figure out some possible ways of making these up. More information will come out to coaches and players soon.
Please remember that AYSO Region 74 is run by all volunteers and trying to communicate with all its members (over 1100) can be difficult. When we decided to cancel games last week we took the following steps to contact as many people as we could.
· Phone message on AYSO phone: 269-303-0558
· Message on web site (www.ayso74.org)
· Message on Facebook
· E-mail blast through eayso.org
· E-mails to all the coaches
We know we may have missed some folks but we do the best we can. We have never canceled an entire weekend of games in the past and we hope we do not have to do it again. Please remember the saying we have been using in regards to the weather: Plan to Play. Canceling games is only done when conditions at the fields are too dangerous for your child/children to play.
Thanks for your understanding in this matter and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
