Weather Policy
When stormy weather occurs the Regional Commissioner will communicate with the Division Directors. We will not be playing under severe storm warnings or thunder/lightening conditions. Games are not safe for anyone in these conditions. We will continue to play with rain or snow conditions, unless snow covers the fields making them unsafe to use. Also, you can call 303-0558 for updates.
When games have started the only one who can call a game is the Referee. The Referee will stop the game if thunder is heard or lightening is seen. If over half the game is played, it is an official game and does not need to be made up. If the game is cancelled, the two Coaches may get together and schedule a make-up game. We do not schedule another week of games due to weather
cancellations.
With spring storm season here please take a minute to view our weather policy found on this web site. Please remember that it is very difficult to make up games so we will try are very best to play the games at the scheduled times. The fields we use we rent from the Portage Soccer Club and they have their big tournament the weekend after we finish up our games. For that reason we cannot extend our season. If we see any lightning or hear any thunder AYSO policy is stop the games and clear the fields of all players for 30 minutes. Every time you see lightning or hear thunder, that 30 minute time starts over. We also must remember that once our games are done on Saturday, travel teams are scheduled to use the fields. Because of this we cannot delay our games to later in the day. If you have any questions about this please contact us.
